Abbott and Manne on the Liberal Party

Liberals & Power: The Road Ahead, edited by Peter van Onselen, will be out next week and it contains what looks like an interesting collection of essays on the future of the Liberal Party and about the strands of liberalism and conservatism within it. The Australian Conservative hopes to have more on this volume soon.

The Weekend Australian today provides a taste of what the book promises, by running an exchange of letters between Opposition front bencher and former Howard Government minister Tony Abbott and academic Robert Manne in a debate about the future of the Liberal Party.

Tony Abbott currently is writing a book about Australian conservatism.
