Turnbull says Rudd has bungled again

In a week which saw Treasurer Wayne Swan’s embarrassing performance in the media conference to release the government’s mid-year economic outlook, Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull says Rudd Labor has bungled again.

The Weekend Australian writes, “The Opposition Leader said yesterday the Prime Minister was making it harder for banks to raise money overseas by refusing to provide iron-clad legislative backing for his recent promise to guarantee wholesale loans by Australian banks. As a result, banks could fail to secure funds or face higher interest changes than were otherwise necessary.”
