NZ’s $2.3 billion Kyoto sting
Mark Henderson
As Mark Henderson predicted here back in July last year, New Zealand is facing a massive multi-billion dollar slug for signing up to the failed Kyoto Protocol.
The New Zealand Herald is today reporting that householders and taxpayers will be hit with a bill of $2.3 billion for failing to meet the CO2 reduction targets agreed to by the previous Labour Government of Helen Clark (who incidentally is now on a nice little earner as a senior commissar at the UN).
What is it with Left-wing governments and new taxes?
