Time for Liberals to focus on Greens
John PasquarelliCoulda – Woulda – Shoulda. It’s time to forget about John Howard and Peter Costello and get back to the main game – dealing with the Greens and how they have cleverly become a dangerous force in Australian politics. Who remembers Graham Richardson, the architect of Labor’s Green preference strategy and how the silly Libs fell over themselves to follow suit? Julia Gillard’s pact with Bob Brown has now alarmed many Labor people who still have a few brains, but have they woken up in time? The Greens are making waves with their weird policies now, but wait until they crack the whips in the Senate.
The Victorian elections are almost on us and it seems a few Libs have also woken up to the possibility that Ted Baillieu may preference the Greens, despite the now clear fact that the Greens are the real enemy of mainstream Australians. If Labor and the Libs had preferenced the Greens last from day one, then today’s political landscape might be a lot different. Hitler Youth attracted young German men and women to disport in the forests where they could commune with the gods of nature and speak with the trees! Remind you of something?
