Budget 2012: The more you look at it, the worse it gets
Andrew Robb comments on the Budget on Liberal TV.
The Liberal Party’s Federal Secretariat said in an e-newletter today:
Labor’s 2012 Budget confirms that Julia Gillard and Wayne Swan have no plan to build a stronger economy, repay debt or create secure jobs, the Liberal Party said today.
They have no coherent econopmic strategy to deliver stronger growth and higher productivity.
Clearly, this is a confused Budget.
On the one hand it gives away billions of dollars, but on the other there is more borrowing, more taxes, and the debt ceiling increases to a record $300 billion.
Australians can be rightly cynical about Labor’s claims that it can take the Budget from a $44 billion deficit to a surplus in just 12 months, especially when it’s failed to deliver the tough decisions it said it would make.
The more you look at this Budget, the worse it gets.
